Clout - южноафриканская группа, состоящая из 5-ти девушек, была образована в 1977г. и получила известность блягодаря песне "Substitute".
Их 1-ый хит "Substitute" был новой аранжировкой песни Righteous Brothers, написанной Вилли Вилсоном. Песня стала №1 в Южной Африке, Австралии, Новой Зеландии, Германии, Франции, Нидерландах, Швеции Австрии, Дании и Бельгии и №2 в UK Singles Chart(где продержалась 3 недели).
В Европе Clout стали известны благодаря "Save Me", "You've Got All of Me" and "Under Fire". "Substitute" поднялась на 67-е место в Billboard Hot 100.
Группа распалась в 1981г., вскоре после релиза их последнего сингла "Portable Radio".
