"The Alan Parsons Project" — рок-группа из Великобритании, творившая с 1975 по 1990 годы в стилях арт-рок, симфонический рок и прогрессивный рок. Основана Аланом Парсонсом (Alan Parsons) и Эриком Вульфсоном (Eric Woolfson). После 1990 года группа официально не существует, но Алан Парсонс и Эрик Вульфсон продолжали выпускать сольные альбомы, близкие к творчеству группы. "The Alan Parsons Project" считается одной из групп — «классиков жанра» арт-рок и прогрессив. Выпущено 10 оригинальных студийных альбомов, общий тираж которых приближается к 50 млн. Группа очень популярна в Европе и Северной Америке. После ухода Эрика Вульфсона Алан Парсонс посчитал неуместным оставлять название "The Alan Parsons Project", и, хотя костяк группы остался тем же, официально группа прекратила свое существование. Название группы теперь звучало как просто "Alan Parsons", и под этим именем группа выпустила ещё три пластинки: Try Anything Once (1993), On Air (1996) и Time Machine (1999). Звучание альбомов после ухода Вульфсона ощутимо изменилось, но отнюдь не стало хуже. 2 декабря 2009 года Эрик Вульфсон скончался в возрасте 64 лет от рака, с которым боролся много лет.
