Пожалуй, только капризом судьбы можно объяснить тот факт, что американская группа ENCHANT известна лишь в узких кругах любителей прогрессива и арт-рока, ибо еще в самом начале своей карьеры этому коллективу пророчили большое будущее, называя ENCHANT достойными продолжателями славных традиций RUSH, MARILLION и иже сними. А в процессе развития выяснилось, что основатель группы и автор большей части песен гитарист Даглас Эй Отт (Douglas A. Ott) и его бойцы отнюдь не ограничивают свое творчество узкими рамками и используют в музыке элементы самых различных стилей. Упомянутые RUSH и MARILLION, KANSAS, Dream Theater, TEARS FOR FEARS, SAGA, JELLYFISH, KING`S X, QUEENSRYCHE - вот далеко не полный список групп, чье наследие так или иначе нашло свое отражение в музыке ENCHANT..
